HP Touchsmart TX2Z is Hewlett Packard’s first Tablet PC with Multi-Touch capability. If you don’t know what Multi-touch means, it’s similar to an iPhone screen, wherein you can zoom in, zoom out, move and rotate images and other elements in the screen using your fingers. Based on this YouTube video that I found here, its Multi-touch screen is not that sensitive compared to HP TX2000 series, their first Wacom Penabled Tablet PC.
I’m not sure if its capacitive multi-touch screen is Wacom enabled just like TX2000. But what I’m sure of is it’s HP’s first Tablet PC that can be upgraded to up to 8GBs of RAM!
The price starts from $1,200.00 as of its first release. But after a few months, I’m pretty sure that its price will get lower and lower like other HP Tablet PCs.
Here’s the maxed-out specifications of HP Touchsmart TX2Z:
Operating System: Windows Vista Ultimate 64 Bit
Processor: AMD Turion(TM) X2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile Processor ZM-86 (2.4 GHz)
Memory: 8GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon(TM) HD 3200 Graphics with 64MB Display Cache Memory
Hard Drive: 400GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
So what’s your Tablet? HP 2710p, HP TX1000 or HP TX2000?
Whatever HP Tablet you have, it sucks, specially their TX tablets. (Btw, I’m not sure with HP 2730p and 2710p because I haven’t read any comments and reviews about its perils, yet) HP TX tablets will only last for a year because there were hardware defects in almost all HP TX series laptops. But you can still use it if you reformat it and change some of its hardware, like the motherboard, WLAN/WiFi Card, and more! Well, based on my experience and other users’ experience. Try to Google it to know more.
