Fujitsu Waterproof Mobile F-01C announced

NTT Docommo Inc of Japan possesses a mobile phone treasure in its midst! If there’s an athlete adventurer’s phone of the year, then Fujitsu Waterproof Mobile F-01C definitely takes not just the cake but the icing and the table too! And there are no exaggerations on this one. There are a lot of brag-worthy features to be found in F-01C that you may not exactly find in other mobile phone brands.

For one, you can take it through the rough and tumble moments of your life. It is water and dust resistant, which can allow you to chill and relax on the bath tub while watching a video stream (video streaming capabilities are just as good too!). Not contented with the bath tub? You can dive right in and take your phone with you, without worries of messing up the expensive inner circuitry.

A bit of an item to handle since it is 14 mm thick. But what compensates for that relatively thick frame is that you can flip it up to a 270 degree rotation. I am not so sure how many phones can brag about being the mobile phone version for contortionist, but this is the most flexible mobile phone I have seen in the market so far, literally and figuratively.

An added bonus is the lightning quick response time of its touch screen. Take it from Fujitsu to do their homework well. This is an improved phone from Fujitsu after taking into account customer feedbacks from previous models, particularly the Prime series phones.

Kanji lovers are going to have a field day since they made entering the hard to encode kanji characters so much easier with their built in system. The screen is pretty large for double checking, since it rivals other touch screen phones in viewing coverage. They did not release any explicit statements on the English language interface, but if it was good enough to handle the complicated Kanji, then English is a shoo-in.

And if that’s not enough for the gadget geeks, they even designed the camera to be comparable to a digital camera already. It’s a 13.2 MP camera supported with Exmor and Milbeaut for image processing needs. It can take as much as 7.5 shots per second and has unlimited sequence photograph option at bay.

If that’s not quite enough to knock the wind out of the gadget world sales (pun intended), the phone happens to have a location radar. This location radar is a point and click type of app that will give you the details on places (for example, a restaurant) within the vicinity of the phone.

If you’re not into swimming, you can find a walking and running app with tips from Naoko Takahashi, an Olympic Gold Medalist. That’s another alternative for those who don’t like to get themselves wet. Let’s just hope they have a translator for Takahashi’s golden tips.

Like most of the really good phones out there, Fujitsu F01-C is Wi-Fi Capable.

Aside from being compatible to athletes, it’s also compatible to health and environment enthusiasts. It contains temperature and humidity sensors. Another first in the world of mobile phones: Continua Health Alliance (CHA) medical devices can be linked to it.
