Finally, I got my hands on this uber sexy, stylish and sleek 1 Terabyte (1TB) portable wallet size hard disk. This is super cool and I really liked it! Currently this portable HD is only available in the US. Good thing I have a friend who went back to the Philippines yesterday and brought this awesome pocket size portable HD for me.

It’s smaller than the previous 500GB WD My Passport, but it’s slightly thicker. But it’s not that noticeable because it’s just 1/10 of an inch thicker than the old 500GB portable HD from Western Digital. The box comes with a USB cable and a manual. And.. I have nothing more to say. Wooot!

Here are some unboxing pictures of my Wester Digital 1TB Passport Essential. Yay!

This phone is one of the best designed phones in the history of the human race. However, it lacks all the features that we need. Its sleek and stylish design didn’t compensate its scarcity of functionalities. It has no WLAN, no 3G, no GPS, no Radio, no Infrared port, no HSCSD and it has almost no features at all.

If it cannot call or send an SMS, it’s the worst phone with the best design ever! Still, we can make calls and send text messages, so this gadget can still be of use. It has this awesome Handwriting recognition feature and Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate. I think that’s the most fantastic feature that this phone can boast.

Overall, this phone sucks. I hope they can create a new one with the same eye-catching look and has all the features that I mentioned above. Oh I love the design, I just hate the specs.

PS3 Slim (Playstation 3 Slim) has been released officially! Engadget had his hands on it already. So what’s new with PS3 slim? There’s nothing new. It’s on the name itself. It’s slimmer, lighter, 33% smaller, and 36% lighter. They say, it’s also a power saver. It consumes less power compared to the original PS3 version. It’s only available in 120GB HDD.

SRP in Amazon is around $300.00. My intuition says that it will be almost 18,000.00 pesos or more if this one arrived and priced in the Philippines. The best added feature of PS3 slim is that si synchronizes with your Bravia TV. If you turn of your Bravia, your PS3 Slim will automatically shut down.

If you may ask me which is better, I’ll still go for the original PS3 Version. PS3 Slim has no touch buttons. All buttons are now physical and actually “click” in to function, Engadget said. It has no Linux or PS2 Compatibility. And worst of all, the design sucks. It’s slimmer, but I hate the outcome.

Below are some images of PS3 and PS3 slim compared.

Archos 9 is the latest PC Tablet from the name itself, Archos. By the way, I know a lot were not familiar about Archos. Archos is a French consumer electronics company that was established in 1988 by Henri Crohas. Archos manufactures portable media players and portable storage devices. The name is an anagram of Crohas’ last name. One of their latest innovations now is the Archos 9 PC Tablet. It’s a nine-inch Windows 7 tablet. It’s basically a netbook in tablet form.

Its main specifications are the following: 120GB storage, Atom Z515 (800/1200Mz CPU) processor, Bluetooth, WiFi, 1024 x 600 LCD touchscreen display, ethernet 10/100, external mic, stereo speakers, 1.3-megapixel webcam and optional 3.5G HSDPA WWAN (There’s a SIM Card Slot!).

Its US SRP is $705.00 (Around PHP34,000). I’m not sure if this will be available in the Philippines. Hopefully it will be, within this year or a year from now.

Here’s a short video of the Archos Event in Paris. This is where Archos 9 was first introduced.

Project Natal for XBOX 360 is too good to be true for me. But it’s really true and was tested during E3! It’s a revolutionary new way to play video games! It’s more powerful than Wii! You don’t need controllers in order for you to play! Project Natal is a full-body motion sensor that is extremely awesome! All I can say was “wow” while watching the Project Natal Videos in YouTube. I was really amazed of this technological innovation. Kudos to Microsoft!

So much for the introduction, watch the announcement trailer of XBOX 360’s amazing invention, the Project Natal

Others said that it’s way too advanced, but we’ll never know what Microsoft can bring us. Steven Spielberg said that “This is a pivotal moment that will carry with it a wave of change, the ripples of which will reach far beyond video games”. On the other hand, TIME Magazine said that “Microsoft Whacks the Wii”. A lot of positive reactions buzzed the gaming industry after Microsoft unveiled Project Natal.

So what can you say about it?

I ordered my Logitech Z-5500 Digital 5.1 Surround THX speaker system last week and it will arrive by Wednesday this week! The seller told me that it’s big and I can’t carry the speaker set by myself. So If you think that these are just mini-speakers, think again. I still don’t know how big it is because I haven’t seen any actual display of this speaker. But it’s my choice, based on hundreds of positive reviews that I’ve read online.

It took me months to get the best reviews and the best speakers for my Samsung LCD HDTV. I never ordered a Samsung Home Theater because based on the reviews that I’ve read, it’s not that worth it. It’s very enticing to get the discounted (suppose to be bundled) home theater system from Samsung if you bought a minimum of 32″ LCD from Them. You can get the HT for only Php5,000.00, even if the normal price of it is Php20,000.00.

So after deciding not to buy it, I started my quest for the perfect Home Theater companion for my LCD TV. I’m eyeing for a Bose Lifestyle Home Theater before, but I realized that it was so expensive (around Php 200,000.00 or $4,000.00 USD), and their 3-speaker set is around $500.00 USD. That’s why I decided not to buy it because it was too damn expensive. Thus, I was motivated to look for a cheaper alternative.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months after I decided to buy a WD Media Player, Playstation 3 and a Speaker System (My very own custom Home Theater). It’s everything that I need, I can play all kinds of Video Files with my WD Media Player, I can play Blu-ray discs with my PS3 at the same time play with oh-so-awesome PS3 games. The only thing that lacks my home theater is a surround speaker system. That’s why I bought Logitech Z-5500 Digital.

I will be reviewing Logitech Z-5500 once It arrives here within this week! Yay! I’m so excited! And oh, Logitech Z-5500 SRP is only $399.00. That’s cheap for a 5.1 Digital Surround THX speaker system!

I know this is not a fresh news for everyone, specially to the DSLR fanatics. I’m no good in reviewing DSLRs and I don’t own a DSLR yet.
