If you are wondering why I’m blogging about non-gizmos here, it’s just that it’s like a thingamajig for me. Its crystal-like shiny finish, digital temperature display, and eye-popping design makes me say “wow” and another “wow”! I think I already said “wow” a dozen times when I saw this ultra sleek and sexy Split-Type Air Conditioner from Samsung. This was released in the Philippines last year, January 2008 to be specific.
AS09VBC and AS12VBC has the same design, like what you see in the picture above. The only thing that varies is its horsepower capacity. AS09VBC has a rating of 3.5 HP, whereas AS12VBC has 5.0 HP. The lower model is enough to cool a 10×10-meter room, I guess.
What’s awesome with Samsung AS12VBC and AS09VBC is it was equipped with Micro Plasma Ion feature. This eliminates viruses such as influenza, avian influenza, and the corona virus associated with SARS. MPI technology generates activated hydrogen and oxygen ions, which exterminates viruses and allergy-causing microbes in the air by safely neutralizing them. It is the world’s first technology that is able to neutralize harmful activated oxygen using active hydrogen, so you are protected from harmful elements and premature aging. Isn’t it great? An Air Conditioner that is health conscious?
And another thing is that Micro Plasma Ion technology not only protects individuals from harmful elements such as viruses, allergens, bacteria and molds, but also helps protect their skin from the harmful Active Oxygen (OH Radical) that accelerates the aging process of the skin. That makes AS09VBC and AS12VBC truly awesome!
With Samsung’s supreme technologies, the air conditioner brings the most comfortable air to your room 24 hours a day. Reflecting a beautiful light with the state-of-the-art look, the shadow mirror adds elegant image to your interior.
If you’re eager to know more about this Air Conditioner, here are the full specifications of Samsung AS12VBC.
UPDATE 08/07/2010: Samsung Philippines already removed it from their website. Here’s the alternative link for the specifications.
Its SRP here in the Philippines is around PHP32,000.00 to PHP35,000.00. Now that’s cheap for a sleek, stylish, and healthy air conditioner eh? The price is based on Samsung Philippines direct dealers and various appliance centers. I wish I can buy myself one of these someday.
